Austrian Internship Week

Ten universities participating in the „Career Services Austria” agree that „The provision of qualified internships is a common concern“ and are working together with the umbrella organisation to actively foster a university-wide network. „We are the first contact point for students and employers at the universities. We are aware of this responsibility and want to define together the quality standards.“

It is certain that internships provide an opportunity for students to network at an early stage with the professional world. In order to obtain an internship, it is often necessary to complete a professional application process. That is the reason why valuable tips for the application process are provided during the Internship Week, as well as a focus on clarifying the legal aspects. Additional topics include questions regarding the mandatory internships and the option to do internships abroad.

Activities will take place for one day long at each participating university in Vienna (BOKU, University Vienna, TU, WU) Linz, Salzburg, Graz (Uni Graz, TU Graz), Klagenfurt and Innsbruck with a variety of different activities.

Have you not made the time to have a professional photo taken of yourself for your curriculum vitae? Here is your chance to get this done, right at the University in just 5 minutes.

A professional photo for your curriculum vitae is very important in Austria. Holiday or leisure time photos or selfies are not appropriate for a curriculum vitae. You want to make a competent and friendly impression with your photo.

Together with our partner Photo Schuster (www.fotoschuster.at) we offer the possibility on Internship Day to have low-price job application photo made. Write us per e-mail at alumni@boku.ac.at with the subject "Photo Internship Day" and you will receive a link per e-mail. You can select your favourite photo on the screen and it will be edited and sent to you in a few days per e-mail.
