Boku Researcher awarded


Daniel Kracher was awarded the ÖGMBT Research Price 2016 in the field of biotechnology in recognition for his outstanding research on fungal biomass degradation. The work performed together with co-author Stefan Scheiblbrandner was published in Science recently.

A scientist of the Biocatalysis and Biosensing Research Group at BOKU received the Research Price 2016 of the Austrian Association of Molecular Life Sciences and Biotechnology (ÖGMBT), sponsored by Prof. Ernst Müllner.

The work on fungal biomass degradation authored by Daniel Kracher and Stefan Scheiblbrandner, together with their colleagues Alfons K.G. Felice, Marita Preims and Erik Breslmayr under the guidance of Roland Ludwig, was recently published in the prestigious journal Science.
