Der siebte internationale ” Tag der Faszination der Pflanzen ” 2024 (FoPD 2024) wird von Pflanzenwissenschaftlern aus aller Welt unter dem Dach der European Plant Science Organisation (EPSO) ausgerufen.
Ziel dieser Aktivität ist es, möglichst viele Menschen auf der ganzen Welt für Pflanzen zu interssieren und von der Bedeutung der Pflanzenwissenschaften für die Landwirtschaft und die nachhaltige Produktion nahrhafter Lebensmittel sowie für den Gartenbau, die Forstwirtschaft und die Herstellung von pflanzlichen Produkten wie Papier, Holz, Chemikalien, Energie und Pharmazeutika zu begeistern. Die Rolle der Pflanzen im Umweltschutz ist ebenfalls eine wichtige Botschaft.
Jeder ist herzlich eingeladen, sich dieser Initiative anzuschließen!

Together with our scientists, you will discover the latest developments in plant research and gain insights into their work at ISTA. Immerse yourself in the plant world and explore its impressive diversity and fascinating adaptability. You can test your knowledge with a quiz!

Have you ever wondered what a world without plants would look like? To celebrate the global Fascination of Plants Day, dive with us into a journey through the amazing plant world. How do plants grow? Why are they so important to us? What do they do when times get tough? How do scientists unravel their mysteries in the lab? In this workshop, plant biologist Marina Borges Osorio will take you on an interactive lab exploration and show you cool ways of seeing the fascinating adaptations and diversity of the green world.
This workshop is designed for children aged 10-14. Participants do not need to bring anything to the workshop. The whole family is invited.
